Haven Children’s Homes is committed to the long term benefit of all children under its care and programs.

Most of the children that come to Haven Children’s Homes are orphaned, unwanted or abused and so entering adulthood and leaving the Haven family nest can be a daunting and lonely time. Many of the children did not receive any education prior to coming to Haven Homes, consequently they are often much older than other students in their class, leading to frustration and embarrassment. For this reason, Haven offers all graduates from the Haven Homes the opportunity to participate in the Haven Trainee Program, which allows them to continue in the Haven community as young adults while training for an occupation or trade.

The Haven Trainee Program endeavors to equip these young men and women with workable skills to establish them in the employment market of today, permitting financial independence.

Already many have gained Haven scholarships for further education or trade training, including Hairdressing, Graphic Arts, Computer Studies, Security Guard, Building and Artistic Design. Sponsor a Haven Trainee and be a vital link in the chain of success for these enthusiastic young leaders and business people of the future.
