DISASTER ASSISTANCE AND RELIEF TEAM
Born out of a need to respond to local disasters with an effective purposeful and ultimately useful programs the DART team works on a twofold goal. The first is to provide training for individuals and
groups in different aspects of disaster management including running the Sphere course in Chiang Mai; and the second is to coordinate and plan a useful and effective manual for people to use to run a thoughtful and purposeful response in a major disaster.
The team has been running for two years and has an open meeting once a month in Chiang Mai. It has been involved in assisting with the Shan State Earthquake (Myanmar 2011) and the Thailand floods (Thailand 2011).
At the Haven Project we love to share our vision and work with others. You can be a part of this vibrant ministry. Volunteers can apply to come for between one week to three months, and teams can apply for either all or some of their time overseas.
