DISASTER ASSISTANCE AND RELIEF TEAM

Born out of a need to respond to local disasters with an effective purposeful and ultimately useful programs the DART team works on a twofold goal.  The first is to provide training for individuals and groups in different aspects of disaster management including running the Sphere course in Chiang Mai; and the second is to coordinate and plan a useful and effective manual for people to use to run a thoughtful and purposeful response in a major disaster.

The team has been running for two years and has an open meeting once a month in Chiang Mai.  It has been involved in assisting with the Shan State Earthquake (Myanmar 2011) and the Thailand floods (Thailand 2011).
