COMMUNITY AND DISASTER RELIEF

Haven Community and Disaster relief program was initially launched as part of the mobile medical clinics but came into its own during the 2004 Asian Tsunami.  It provides basic care and essential items to people who are in situations where they are unable to provide adequately for them themselves.

Currently the program is divided into three parts,

  • Responding to disasters in the South East Asia region
  • A training team which is involved in teaching and preparing themselves and others for a disaster.  This team is called the DART team (Disaster Assistance and Relief Team).
  • Community outreaches to people identified as needed assistance.

At the Haven Project we love to share our vision and work with others. You can be a part of this vibrant ministry. Volunteers can apply to come for between one week to three months, and teams can apply for either all or some of their time overseas.
